In all of the excitement that people experience when moving onto a new job & employer, candidates don't always consider the importance of properly handling their transition from their most recent employer. This recent article from Forbes is a great reminder that it usually doesn't benefit someone to "burn a bridge" and that it may even catch-up with them in the future. I always encourage candidates to handle their resignation, exit interview, and final days on a job with grace & class. Never use this part of the process as a platform to publicly express frustrations, to try to fix things, or to settle an old score.
